Anything to report..?

No, not really. Every day when i hear the post come i RUN downstairs to see if the papers have come through. I am so impatient...i want it NOW. Not next week, not the week after...i want to sign and send them back, so then at least i will know how much longer i have to be 'married' for. I don't want to be married anymore. I've got my single name, i want my single status too :)

A friend of mine had an email from a friend of Arsewipes' yesterday. "Had you heard that Sarah and Arsewipe are getting a divorce?" She hasn't answered...we are compiling a response as i type this. I have a good idea what needs to be said...because you KNOW it'll get back to him!!!!!!!

County Court..

I called up County Court yesterday to see if arsewipe had put in the application for the divorce yet...their response...NO RECORD! WTF? No record? There had better be a bloody record soon, otherwise i am going to be annoyed. I bet you, annnnny money, it'll come though on my birthday!!! That would be just tickety-boo.

HAPPY 34th BIRTHDAY - AND BTW - YOUR HUSBAND HATES YOU AND YOU'RE BEING DIVORCED...lol

Crying..

I don't know what came over me today to make me cry. I KNOW, I KNOW all the shit things about my husband, but at the end of the day...i DO still love him! I wish i bloody didn't...but i do.

Ugh!

Despite everything else i have going on at the moment, i missed him today :(
I still love the arsehole..
This is going to take a while.

Thursday..

Okay. It's now been EIGHT days since i had any contact with him...

Am i missing him? No
Do i care that i am being divorced? No

All i am right now is flipping grateful that he's done this. He's opened up my world...and my eyes! I can see that all he was doing to me was not 'normal'. Being reduced to tears regularly is NOT a relationship. That is NOT love. I have cried every Valentines Day (since 2004)/birthday/anniversary/Mothers Day/New Years Eve since 2003.

Being with him was no good for me and no good for him.

We're definitely better off DIVORCED!

OVER IT!

I can lay here this evening, in my bed and say i am 85% over the break-up of my marriage and the impending divorce!

I have just had a lovely evening, where i laughed. I actually laughed people. That is something that i am not use to.

:)

Good morning - EMAIL FROM HIM

Hi, how are you

I received that* thanks, ive sent a letter to you about the bank account yesterday.

(* MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE)

I am NOT responding...nothing.
I had ZERO contact yesterday, no texts, no email, no phonecall and best of all - NOT ONE TEAR.

No tears for 32 hours!!!!!

Wednesday.

My conversation with HIM went really badly (as expected). I started sniffling when he told me that ALL his friends now know about the divorce. The "mutual" divorce!!! He is saying its mutual so he doesn't look bad because apart from being sick there are NO reasons he can come up with to divorce me and he doesn't want people to know that he's bailing.

Anyway...i'm crying and he goes "Have you sent off the marriage certificate yet?" I was like "Um..no..it's in the envelope, i WILL send it." "Well" he said "I don't want this going on for ages..." Then he started getting stroppy, he didn't like the fact that i had control over this part of his plan! I was really hurt that he got so angry that i hadn't sent it...

After i put the phone DOWN on him i sent him an email saying "LOVELY TO SPEAK WITH YOU THIS MORNING - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE IS IN THE POST".

That's it.
Done.

Tuesday

I didn't feel at all good yesterday. I knew after such a good day before that it was going to hit me like a ton of bricks, which is exactly what happened. I felt horrible all day.

I didn't cry until about 10pm. I was talking to a male friend who is all about the boobies and skinny chicks - and i thought that there is going to be NO MAN who will want to come within 100 miles of me. I have so many things wrong with my face/body alongside all my mental issues, not exactly what i would call a catch! Having that conversation with him i really do feel that there is absolutely no hope in hell of EVER having a relationship again.

Earlier in the day i went through a ton of papers that i had been meaning to sort. It was horrible. I found SO many letters that i had written and never given him. My diaries from 2002/2003 and journals that i had kept, i found more letters. Some of the things that i read were heartbreaking. He had said the most horrible horrible things, but yet - I STILL LOVE HIM!

I can totally see that this marriage was wrong and he was abusive to me. BUT - if i was NORMAL perhaps he would have been happier and not so abusive? I think he would definitely have been better. I believe what it comes down to is that i made him so unhappy, he didn't know how to express himself. He didn't feel like he could leave before, because maybe he did feel an element of guilt, who knows? But he stayed with me and hurt me....a lot.

All that said, there were times he was lovely to me. We'd cuddle up together, he would ALWAYS (when he lived with me), kiss me and tell me he loved me before he went to work, even if i was 4.30 in the morning and when he got home he'd do the same - EVERY-SINGLE-DAY. I miss that. I miss being told that i am loved and having that affection. There are HUNDREDS of things that i hate about not having him here.

I desparately want/NEED to call/text him right this minute, i know he is not at work until later. I want to hear his voice...

WELL - I AM GLAD I DID CALL!!!!
What a dick.

Top 10 Ways to Determine if a Person is Right for You

SUMS IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a relationship expert who gives relationship advice on a daily basis, I have determined there are 10 key factors that determine whether or not a person is right for you. Relationships are a tricky business and getting involved with the wrong person can be destroy your life. How do you know when a person is right for you? I have broken down the top 10 ways to determine if you may be with Mr. or Mrs. Right so you may live happily every after.

1. You both have common interests and goals. After the newness of a relationship wears off, what remains is that you are friends and friends have fun together and do things together. If you both work towards a shared goal like purchasing a home, raising a family or saving for a dream vacation, you are working together as a team. For example, a client of mine named Jody wanted to have children but her partner Matt did not. Since Jody was not upfront with Matt in the beginning of their relationship about her goal of having a family, it created stress and arguments in their relationship and eventually they broke up. Share your goals and interests with your partner and if they don't match up, move on.

2. Make sure that your partner gets along with your family and friends. Even if there are issues or tenseness with your partner's family, it is extremely important to make a positive effort and be polite. The same goes for your partner's friends. Since your mate has chosen to have these friends, there must be a reason so don't try to get in the middle of family and friends. If the relationships weren't meant to continue, they will eventually end. Also, don't try to compete with your partner's friends. It is important to have male and female friends to joke with, share with and do things with. Don't take this away from your partner.

3. Don't choose someone just because of his or her external appearance. We all know that beauty fades and what is left when people grow old is their personality and their beauty inside. People, who only marry for superficial reasons such as looks, usually are not able to succeed long-term in a relationship. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you love someone, they will always be beautiful to you.

4. Don't marry for money. Time and time again people who marry for money end up in an ugly, costly divorce. Money comes and goes in life but even if you have a billion dollars and are in the fanciest hotel on earth, it won't make up for the fact that you are with someone who you don't want to be with and you will end up miserable and unhappy. It's much more satisfying to look at the stars with someone you love than living in a mansion with someone you can't stand.

5. Cleanliness. If you meet someone who is a complete slob they won't change and guess who will end up being resentful and bitter because you have to clean up after them? You. I knew a couple where the man was a neat freak and the woman was a complete slob. Of course the man tried to change his wife and when it didn't work, he began cleaning up after her. After a period of time, he became angry at her lack of concern for order and they eventually divorced. What may seem petty in the beginning can turn into a huge issue in a marriage.

6. You are both ready for a lifetime commitment. Many people rush into marriage without taking the time to really get to know the other person. Simply dating a person for three to six months does not mean that you really know them. Everyone is on their best behavior when they first meet someone but until you see a person when they are down, in trouble or stressed, you don't really know them.

7. Similar Spirituality. You don't necessarily have to be the same religion as your partner but if one person is a devout Christian who attends church every Sunday and another is an atheist out partying all weekend, serious issues can arise. Make sure your beliefs are similar and you discuss these in-depth before deciding to commit long-term. Spiritual beliefs can bring people closer together or tear them apart so make sure you are both on a similar page.

8. Similar diet. Now this may seem silly but it's more important than you think. If you are a vegan and your partner is a meat eater, choosing restaurants and daily meals together can become a struggle. It is of course possible to order a salad at most restaurants. However, if your partner is not flexible enough to occasionally eat at a vegan restaurant with you or try some new home-cooked veggie dish you made, it can create serious long term relationship issues.

9. Spending time together. You must both make time for each other. For example, a friend of mine names James is, and always will be, a complete workaholic. His wife Jillian is not. She is always forced to compete with his cell phone, meetings and clients and they never go on vacations because he is always working. Soon Jillian began feeling like a mere shadow in James' life and was only squeezed in between client meetings. They are still together because Jillian is scared to be alone but she is already alone in this relationship and is frequently depressed. Sometimes being in a relationship can be even lonelier than being single so make sure that both people value the relationship enough to make time for each other.

10. Consideration and manners. You are able to put yourself in the other person's shoes and are respectful of their feelings. Compromise is one of the most important elements of a successful relationship. If you become involved with an egomaniac narcissist who only cares about their own needs, you are headed for disaster. These types of people do not have the ability to put someone else's needs first and only consider their own. Make sure the person you commit to cares as much about you as they do about themselves.

The goal of a long-term relationship and marriage is to be loved and love someone who will be your lover, teammate, friend, confidante and partner you can grow old with. As with everything in life, relationships take work - a lot of work. If you aren't ready to compromise or willing to put some hard work into it, you're not ready for a long-term commitment or marriage.

I recommend a character check for anyone considering a long-term relationship. Have you done a background check on this person? Are you sure you're not involved with a convicted felon, a married person or a con artist? Do your homework and screen, screen, screen. For the ladies out there, I recommend searching through our database to see if their partner has a trail of unsuccessful relationships. If they do, it is best advised that you proceed with caution.

Last post

Was exactly how i was feeling at that time. I wanted to end it all, i absolutely did. I no longer wanted to live if it meant living without HIM.

I am still heart broken and it will take an awful long time to come to terms and accept that this has happened - BUT - i have to, i have to do it for myself and my boy!

The world is not going to stop because my marriage has failed.

Friday, 5 June 2009

I can't live without him. Simple as that.

He called me earlier to say his was 'popping over' to talk through the divorce forms. I stupidly thought that MAYBE he was going to change his mind. Absolutely 100% not.

We talked, i cried. I realise that i cannot, CANNOT live without him.

I DON'T WANT TO BE ALIVE WITHOUT HIM.

In this instance i have to do what is the best for me...to make ME happy. And i don't want to live.

..and in the meantime..

..I am getting text messages from my ex telling me that he would really love to "Kick me while i am down" and that "He just wants to hurt me even more".

Dear God, please let me not be as bitter as him in 7 years time!!!!!!!

I did sleep..

..but i've woken up to the realisation that he's not coming home. My heart is racing, i'm shaking....i love him and i miss him so much.

Thursday, 4 June 2009

Dunno.

I've got no feelings tonight apart from empty. Just empty. My life changed on Saturday night, forever, and i don't know how to come to terms with it.

Loving someone as much as i did him, its going to be no easy task to get over. Leaving me because he's "Not ready to settle down" - give me a break! SEVEN YEARS, SEVEN FLIPPING YEARS and...now....NOW he decides he's not ready to settle down. Ugh. What a div.

I WANT HIM TO COME BACK TO ME.

No sleep.

I have cried all night. All that keeps going round in my head is how alone i am and that i have no one to comfort me. I just want a cuddle from him, to tell me everything WILL be okay...but he is ignoring my calls and texts. That is making me worse.

Today.

I've been up since 7.30 and it's now 8.50 and i am crying for the first time! As soon as my boy is packed up out of the door for school, the tears flow.

Today while i am out, my *husband* is coming to the house to collect the last of his things. When i get home this evening, all that there will be is his key on the side. This is something that i have been absolutely dreading. I feared this moment from the second he told me that he wanted the divorce.

Tuesday, 2 June 2009

He's off out tonight, to play cricket with his mates. How the hell can he carry on as if nothing has happened, while i am sitting here, sobbing for the loss of my husband and my marriage!!!!
This hurts so much.
Can't bare it.

10.48am..

..crying again.

How will i ever get over this?
I just need a cuddle and for him to say "It's going to be alright Sarah-poo", but it's not going to be okay. He's going to be off living his life and i'm going to be sat here friendless and totally alone.

HE'S NEVER COMING HOME

Coping with a Breakup or Divorce: Moving on After a Relationship Ends

Little things - 2

I painted my shed and fence today, nothing major, but i felt proud of what i had done. NORMALLY i would email/call my *husband* but i can't do that anymore, so instead i stood in the middle of the garden and sobbed for a solid hour. There was soooo much shit coming out of my nose/eyes, you name it....it was bad! I didn't move until i felt that if i didn't go in and get a tissue i would surely drown in my own tears.

Phone call.

So, i call my husband because i am lonely and have no one to talk to. This is a major problem that i have. I don't have anyone else to talk to about how i'm feeling and i don't have anyone to come round and see if i am okay. I am basically dealing with this - all alone and its really really hard. So hard, i don't know if i can do it.

Most people that go through divorce/break ups/seperations have a massive support network...i don't have one person.

Anyway...so we get onto the who REASONS behind leaving me and he was contridicting himself a lot. He said that he doesn't want a new relationship yet he wants to have a women he can go out with (I UNDERSTAND THAT). He also said that he doesn't want to come home everynight and eat dinner and go to bed (he does wacko shifts and doesn't finish until late), so i asked him what will he do instead....and his reply "MY OWN THING".

Bottom line. DOESN'T WANT TO BE MARRIED/TIED DOWN

Little things - 1

Even though we've been split up for so long, i always thought i'd have the 'little' things back again. I didn't want to believe that i wouldn't. It's always been something that at the back of my mind, without telling anyone, that i have remained positive about - my marriage getting back on track. Obviously, i was more than wrong. Perhaps deep down, i KNEW it wouldn't happen, just that i refused to believe it? And now...I WANT A DIVORCE (not me, him!).

Even though i've not had the little things for so long, i am still going have to come to terms with never having them again with my husband.

I've not yet stopped crying. It's been non-stop since 3pm, it's now midnight. I feel ruined, deserted, gutted beyond belief...i feel abandoned and rejected by the man i have loved for nearly 7 years!!! I've put up with so much, but what it ALL comes down to is his desire to travel and what kind of bitch would i be to stop him from 'living his dream'?

"IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE, SET THEM FREE......"

I have to remain dignified and not let the hurt and anger be obvious to him...although all the time, inside i am broken... :(

♥

BACKGROUND.

Been together for seven years this year, married for 6.

I battle agoraphobia - he is a free spirit. At some point the two WOULD no longer be able to survive together and that time - is now.

I am still very much in love with my husband. When i married him i really did think that he'd be able to put his desires to travel to the back of his mind and concentrate on being MY husband. Clearly not happening.

It's not all been plain sailing though. I've suffered A LOT of verbal and mental abuse from him.
At times, he's been horrid to me, but i LOVE him, so i would have given the world for him to love me, like i do him.

We've been living apart since September 2008. We had minimal contact for the first couple of months, but over the last few weeks, i thought that MAYBE he'd come back to me, but an email changed ALL that.

He has a friend, he lives in Australia and is getting married and has asked my husband to be an usher. My husband A) Loves Australia (lived there for a long time) and B) Wants to go back and C) Would love to be an usher for his mate. ALL understandable. However, to achieve this, he is sacrificing his marriage - MY MARRIAGE! He said that if we ever got back together, there is no way he'd be able to go because he wouldn't be able to save the money, therefore, he has to do what is needed to go and that is NEVER COME BACK TO ME and GET A DIVORCE!

This invitation sparked off a whole load of wants and needs in him. He said to me that he is NOT READY to settle down! WTF??? We've been married for years and split up for months - and he's not ready to settle down? Surely he should have considered that before we got married??

I am keeping this diary to keep a track of every-little-emotion and feeling i will be experiencing over the next days/weeks/months.

I hope you'll stick with me. I need LOTS of support right now.
I've never felt so alone in my life.

Moved

I'm moving all this bullshit here, i won't want my other blog to be clogged up with all this break-up/DIVORCE hell.
